72nd Transformation

Okay, I've got no clue what the bear or the interrupting or any of that stuff was about. The bear said it was a curse but the deities acted like it was some sort of escapee from... something. I don't know, maybe there's another City populated by bear people or something.

The mushroom might have been nice to have but being dead is kind of liberating. Type-2 diabetes? Not happening, so I can eat as much junk food as I want. Not being able to/needing to breath? Scuba diving is a lot cheaper without the tank. Not a bad gig at all.

[Private to Rosella and Cain/Unhackable]

Princess Rosella of Daventry and the Earl of Hargreaves, I regret to inform you that you’re not allowed to see each other as more than friends. After both of you took the survey (Rosella, I’m still not sure how you got a copy) some interesting things came to light.
Earl, you did rather well on the questions. You lost quite a few points for not listing any apple puns, but your sonnet was excellent. Rosella does need to be kept away from ropes though.

While the Earl is suitable for being involved in a romantic relationship with Rosella, in turns out she’s not suitable for being involved in a romantic relationship. That involves herself.

Rosella, I’m not going to lie, you did pretty bad on the test. I actually had some complete strangers on the street take the test, and they scored better than you did. One guy actually scored better than Cain did, which is kind of creepy, but that's beside the point.

I know this might be disappointing to hear, but it's your own fault, those are the scores you earned. Unfortunately, one of you just didn't do well enough.

I think the problem lies with those who are wishing to return still to their own worlds.

[identity profile] not-so-smooth.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I died in my own world, so that's not really an option.

[identity profile] not-so-smooth.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
It's okay. I mean, it really sucks and all, but at least I got to come here when I died, which is cool.

[identity profile] guardianhime.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I can think of a dozen other places I might rather be.

Do you have friends from home, though? I'm sure that there are those that are here that are happy to see you.

[identity profile] not-so-smooth.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? That's good, I'm sorry you're stuck here though.

No, no one from my world is here. But my best friend in any world is here, so that really makes it worthwhile.

[identity profile] guardianhime.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds nice. That's probably the one thing I really like about this place. Is the friends and important people you make from other places.

You can't possibly mean to say you think I failed a survey about myself.

And I do not need to be kept away from ropes!

I'm sorry, but you did.

And you do.

That's not fair at all! He already beats me at everything else, he's not allowed to beat me at myself, too!

And I do not.

Well, you didn't say anything nice about my sonnet.

Your sonnet was very good. And you destroyed him in the pun competition.

But the answer to 16 was clearly D. Also, you didn't answer question 20 very well. And your answer to #24 was awful.

Really though, it was question 26 that did you in. You missed a lot of the characteristics about yourself.

Awful?! Which one was 24? Was that the one with the train?

I would've put more, but I didn't see "conceited" on the list to go along with them.

If you don't care to return to the world from which you came, then being dead here is quite liberating. But I hear that if you die here, you can't ever go back.

[identity profile] not-so-smooth.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I died in my own world, so going back isn't really an option.

[identity profile] spiritofsorrow.livejournal.com 2009-10-13 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, well, then. You do have quite a few advantages. It seems futile to cure death from one's own world anyway...if I had to guess, I would expect that the City wouldn't be able to affect our worlds to such a precise degree.

[identity profile] not-so-smooth.livejournal.com 2009-10-14 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
That's good to know.

You know, I'd pay good money to see that bear world.

wtf, I replied to this

That doesn't surprise me at all.

That you like bears.

You know, I used to have a whole collection of them. Stuffed, I mean. Not real. Obviously. My dad would bring them home for me whenever he'd have to go out of town.

I remember. 'Cause you're his Claire Bear.

I feel like I haven't heard that in forever. I can't decide if it's socially crippling or just nostalgic.
