Now Sam was really, really confused. Maybe this was all some sort of bad dream or something, a horrible nightmare brought on by too much sun and... hanging out with Wilke. Or something.

"Damn it, that means this isn't real," Sam said, collapsing back into bed. "I mean, yay that I'm not separated from the love of my life, boo that I can't prevent the death of millions of people."
