There was a hint of idealism in the boy's words, and Faye was never quite sure how to address something like that. On a practical level, sometimes idealists were best stamped down and fast, before their hopes carried them higher, higher, and higher still, making the eventual tumble almost impossible to deal with. On the other hand, hand was sometimes the strongest motivator of them all, and the whole point of wars were that they could be fought without involving everyone else in the process.
